Interested in joining our volunteer team? Below are some things we ask of our volunteers.
Evangelism isn’t restricted to ordained ministers—it’s the responsibility of every believer to reach the lives of those around them. Our goal is to help equip the Church for the work of ministry. Read our requirements for joining our volunteer evangelism team below.

All of our volunteers must be in good standing with their local church. Church membership must be with a tradition, denomination, or independent church that believes and teaches historic Christian doctrines. Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, and other heretical gatherings are prohibited due to their departure from the historic Christian faith.

All volunteers must affirm the Apostle’ Creed which Wilks Evangelistic Association has adopted as our statement of faith. For more info about what we believe, check out our “About Us” page.

We recommend that all volunteers have pastoral approval before joining us in evangelistic outreaches.

All volunteers should be evaluated through a one-on-one meeting with one of our team members. After evaluation, each volunteer may go through specific training to prepare them for ministry. This process will allow you to grow in your knowledge of doctrine, apologetics, evangelism, and communication.
Our Method
PREPARE
Persistent prayer and Scripture reading are the foundation for being equipped to communicate the Gospel of Christ properly.
PRACTICE
Pursue practical evangelism in your daily life by reaching those around you. This can be family members, co-workers, or various members of your community. Doing so will better equip you for various obstacles you may run into in evangelism.
PLAN
While prayer and Scripture are foundational to the evangelist, various studies can strengthen your mind and evangelistic skills. Evangelism is a calling that must be stewarded by continued research and study. It is healthy to develop a plan of study in which you read apologetic and theological resources.
PREACH
Once you develop a life of prayer and Scripture reading, pursue evangelistic opportunities, and develop a plan of growth and theological strengthening, you will be better equipped to preach the Gospel wherever the Lord may call you.
