Our MissionWilks Evangelistic Association was founded on the idea that the Gospel carries true weight and power. We exist to reach souls with the Gospel and equip churches to do the same. As an interdenominational evangelistic association, our mission is to connect with believers of various traditions for the purpose of reaching the lost, equipping the saints, and preparing the world for the Lord’s return.
What We Believe
-
As an interdenominational ministry, Wilks Evangelistic Association seeks unity within the body of Christ while honoring the distinctives of diverse denominations and traditions. To provide a clear, historic foundation of common faith and to guard against error, we have adopted the Apostles’ Creed as our statement of faith. The creed affirms essential Christian doctrines and serves as a unifying expression of belief for believers. It reads as follows:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
While we fervently seek unity within the Church, we will not relinquish the historic Christian understanding of moral and social teachings—particularly regarding marriage and the sanctity of human life. As a theologically conservative ministry, we cannot enter into fellowship with those who advocate or teach doctrines that depart from the historic faith. We desire unity in the Church but not at the expense of truth. We therefore call the Church to faithful gospel clarity, persevering charity, and steadfast commitment to the doctrines handed down through the ages.
-
We believe in the one Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct persons who are coequal and co-eternal.
The Father is the first person of the Trinity, from whom the Son and the Holy Spirit proceed. The Son proceeds from the Father and the Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son, in accordance with historic Christian teaching.
The Son, eternally of the same essence as the Father, was sent into the world for our salvation. In the incarnation the Son took on human nature and was born of the virgin Mary; He was named Jesus. He lived a sinless life, offered himself as an atoning sacrifice by crucifixion for the salvation of all who believe, was buried, rose on the third day, and ascended into Heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is one person in two distinct natures (the hypostatic union): fully God and fully man. From heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to indwell believers.
The Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father and the Son, convicts the world of sin, reveals our need for a Savior, and draws sinners to the Son of God. He distributes gifts to Christians and equips them to walk out the Christian life.
-
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He died on the cross and rose again for our justification. By faith in Him we are declared righteous before God and forgiven of our sins. We receive the Holy Spirit and are sanctified by Him, which leads to a change in lifestyle, conduct, and priority. Our regeneration is received by grace when we place our faith in Christ apart from any merits of our own. It is through the merits of Christ that we may be regenerated and walk in newness of life.
-
We believe Holy Scripture is the only infallible rule for faith and practice delivered to believers. Historic Christian traditions are valuable in the Church but should always be tested by sacred Scripture.
-
We believe the Church is the universal body of believers throughout the world, embracing many traditions and denominations in which faithful Christians are found. The local church is a particular congregation of believers who gather for worship, the sacraments, prayer, Scripture, and sound teaching.
Meet the Founder
Founded by Jordan Wilks, the Wilks Evangelistic Association is an interdenominational ministry devoted to bringing hope to the world through the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. An Alabama native, Jordan felt the call to ministry in 2018 soon after marrying his wife, Madison. After two years of discipleship and service in their local church, they relocated to New Orleans in 2020, where they ministered together until 2025. Their time in Louisiana encompassed pastoral leadership, directing a school of evangelism, and faithfully preaching the Gospel across diverse communities. In early 2025 they sensed a calling to return to Alabama. Over the next year, sustained prayer and a deepened burden for evangelism led Jordan to formally establish the Wilks Evangelistic Association in 2026. The ministry’s purpose is to partner with churches across denominational lines, equipping and uniting them to reach the lost with the transforming message of Jesus Christ.
“The Wilks Evangelistic Association believes that something truly supernatural happens when the Gospel is preached faithfully. Romans 1:16 declares the Gospel to be the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, and Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing the message of Christ. The Gospel is the world’s only hope, and our mission is to proclaim that message of hope to the lost.”
